The Pulheimer Herztour (Pulheim Heart Tour) got its name from the fact that the course of the tour runs through the city districts of Pulheim past the various sights and leisure opportunities forming a heart shape. Whether babbling brooks, impressive windmills, farm shops, castles or old manor houses, the sights on offer along the route are varied and interesting. For example, a stop at Brauweiler Abbey in the district of the same name, where the inner courtyard can be viewed, is well worthwhile. Pulheim’s city centre invites you to take a stroll to see its little shops and galleries. The highly challenging 47 km tour at altitudes of almost 240 metres means you have to be in shape and offers several opportunities for inexperienced cyclists to enjoy a break at one of the bicycle-friendly restaurants along the way. The route is signposted in a clockwise direction and begins at Pulheim train station, which can easily be reached from Cologne Central Station in 12 minutes.
